Geneva, IL

Another beautiful day, even warmer then yesterday. I started the day by practicing for adventure riding.

Today’s ride was a short one, though the cornfields and back to the suburbs. It’s so funny, I live so close to Geneva but I‘ve never been to see it.

I couldn’t believe there was so much treacherous terrain in the center of town, what an eye sore, but fun to ride through.

  1. Rick,

No, the bike lays so flat it’s hard to get it up, even though it’s not all that heavy. I couldn’t use the “skirt” method, lifting with the back. I shoved my leg underneath the handle bards to get the front end off the ground and then with all my might pushed it further up, shoved more leg under the bike until I could raise it all the way up. It took three tries.

BTW, I dropped it, this was not a planned exercise in picking up a dual sport LOL I’ve gotten so comfortable and confident on this bike because it’s so light, almost treating it like a bicycle at times, when taking it out of the garage that day, I think I moved the kickstand with my foot as I was lowering the bike on to the kickstand… the kickstand is kind of located exactly when my foot goes on the ground, needless to say, since I only had my left foot down the bike just fell over. No damage except for a scratched up mirror.
